I have come across this add recently. Sunfeast had launched a biscuit variety with a slogan  "enriched" with A2 (Naattu mattu) native Indian cow  milk and A2 Cow milk biscuits (1).

  1. What is A2 Cow milk ?
  2. How does it differ from  normal Standardized milk/Tonned milk/Skimmed milk etc.,?
  3. Is there any definition available in FSSAI for A2 Cow milk ?
  4. Is it really informing consumers about the special ingredient usage ?

A2 milk is cow's milk  that mostly lacks a form of β-casein proteins called A1 and instead has mostly the A2 form. Milk like this was brought to market by The a2 Milk Company and is sold mostly in Australia, New Zealand, China, United States and the United Kingdom. (3)

Few years back only we have come across the Milk adulteration news. It says that 70 percent milk samples collected across the country by food safety authority did not conform to standards (2) In this situation How carefully this A2 Cow milk will be collected from Indian breeds,processed and analyzed for compliance ? mystery ??
